1.1 God's promises are sure and steadfast: God's promises are not like human promises that can be broken or forgotten. They are sure and steadfast, and we can trust in them completely. Numbers 23:19
1.2 God's timing is perfect: God's timing is not our timing. His plans and purposes are often fulfilled in ways and times that we do not expect. But we can trust that His timing is always perfect. Ecclesiastes 3:11
2.1 Living by faith: Living in the light of future fulfillment means living by faith. We trust in God's promises, even when we cannot see their fulfillment. Hebrews 11:1
2.2 Living with hope: Living in the light of future fulfillment means living with hope. We have a confident expectation of God's promises being fulfilled. Romans 8:24-25
3.1 Christ's return is certain: The ultimate future fulfillment that we look forward to is the return of Christ. This is a certain promise that we can trust in. John 14:3
3.2 Christ's return will bring final fulfillment: When Christ returns, all of God's promises will be finally and fully fulfilled. There will be no more waiting, no more uncertainty, no more unfulfilled promises. Revelation 21:3-4
4.1 Responding with faith: The appropriate response to the promise of future fulfillment is faith. We trust in God's promises and live in light of them. Hebrews 11:6
4.2 Responding with hope: The appropriate response to the promise of future fulfillment is also hope. We live with a confident expectation of God's promises being fulfilled. Romans 15:13
4.3 Responding with patient endurance: The appropriate response to the promise of future fulfillment is patient endurance. We wait for God's promises to be fulfilled, trusting in His perfect timing. James 5:7-8
