1. Understanding the Nature of Love

1.1 Love as Defined by God God is love, and His love is the standard by which we should measure all love. It is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional. 1 John 4:8

1.2 The Characteristics of Love Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

2.1 Patience as a Fruit of the Spirit Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that God desires to cultivate in us. It is a reflection of His character and a testament to His work in our lives. Galatians 5:22

5.1 Jesus as the Perfect Example Jesus is the perfect example of love that is patient and kind. His life, death, and resurrection demonstrate the depth of His love. Romans 5:8

5.2 Following Jesus' Example As followers of Jesus, we are called to love others as He loved us - with patience, kindness, and selflessness. John 13:34
