The Enemy's Strategy

 

1. Deception

1.1 The enemy uses lies to lead us astray. He is the father of lies and there is no truth in him. John 8:44

1.2 The devil often disguises himself as an angel of light, making evil appear good and good appear evil. 2 Corinthians 11:14

1.3 He uses deception to create doubt in our minds about God's word and promises. Genesis 3:1-4

2. Temptation

2.1 Satan tempts us to sin, appealing to our fleshly desires and weaknesses. Matthew 4:1-11

2.2 He uses the allure of the world ‚Äì the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life ‚Äì to draw us away from God. 1 John 2:16

2.3 The enemy tempts us to doubt God's goodness and question His love for us. Genesis 3:4-5

3. Accusation

3.1 The devil is the accuser of the brethren, constantly accusing us before God. Revelation 12:10

3.2 He uses guilt and shame to keep us in bondage and prevent us from receiving God's forgiveness. Zechariah 3:1-5

3.3 The enemy accuses us to ourselves, causing us to live in condemnation and fear. Romans 8:1

4. Division

4.1 Satan sows discord and strife among believers to cause division and disunity. Proverbs 6:16-19

4.2 He uses offenses and unforgiveness to separate us from each other and from God. Matthew 18:7

4.3 The enemy seeks to divide and conquer, knowing that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Mark 3:24-26

5. Distraction

5.1 The enemy uses the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things to choke the word of God in our lives. Mark 4:19

5.2 He seeks to distract us from our purpose and mission, causing us to lose focus and become ineffective. 1 Corinthians 7:35

5.3 Satan uses busyness and preoccupation with worldly things to keep us from spending time with God and growing in our relationship with Him. Luke 10:38-42
