1.1 Understanding what conflict is: A disagreement or argument between two or more parties. It is an inevitable part of human relationships and interactions. Conflict can be healthy if managed properly, but if left unresolved, it can lead to destructive consequences. Proverbs 15:18

1.2 The origin of conflict: Conflict began with the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve's disobedience led to the first conflict between God and man, and this has been passed down through generations. Genesis 3:1-19

2. The Consequences of Unresolved Conflict

2.1 Spiritual consequences: Unresolved conflict can lead to a strained relationship with God. It can hinder our prayers and spiritual growth. Unforgiveness is a sin that separates us from God. Mark 11:25

4.1 Providing guidance and counsel: The church, through its leaders, should provide biblical guidance and counsel to those involved in conflict. Galatians 6:1

4.2 Promoting peace and unity: The church should promote a culture of peace and unity among its members. It should encourage its members to live in harmony with one another. Romans 12:18

4.3 Praying for reconciliation: The church should intercede for those involved in conflict, praying for wisdom, understanding, and reconciliation. James 5:16

5. The Impact of Resolved Conflict

5.1 Spiritual growth: Resolving conflict in a biblical manner leads to spiritual growth. It draws us closer to God and helps us to mature in our faith. James 1:2-4
