1. Understanding the Biblical Definition of Love

1.1 Love as an Attribute of God: God is love. His very nature and essence is love. Understanding this helps us to comprehend the depth and breadth of love.  1 John 4:8

1.2 Love as a Commandment: Love is not just a feeling but a commandment from God. We are commanded to love God and love our neighbors. Matthew 22:37-39

1.3 Love as Sacrifice: The ultimate demonstration of love is sacrifice. God demonstrated His love for us by sacrificing His only Son. John 3:16
