1.1 Freedom from the bondage of sin: The promise of freedom in Christ signifies liberation from the shackles of sin. It means that we are no longer slaves to sin but have been set free through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Romans 6:18
1.2 Freedom from the law: As believers, we are not under the law but under grace. This freedom does not give us license to sin but empowers us to live righteously. Romans 6:14
1.3 Freedom from condemnation: In Christ, there is no condemnation for those who believe in Him. This freedom assures us of God's love and acceptance. Romans 8:1
2.1 Jesus Christ: The only source of true freedom is Jesus Christ. He is the one who sets us free from the bondage of sin and death. John 8:36
2.2 The Truth of God's Word: The Word of God is truth and it is this truth that sets us free. As we abide in God's Word, we experience the freedom that comes from knowing the truth. John 8:31-32
3.1 Walking in the Spirit: Living in freedom means walking in the Spirit and not gratifying the desires of the flesh. The Spirit enables us to live a life that pleases God. Galatians 5:16
3.2 Bearing the Fruit of the Spirit: As we live in freedom, we bear the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
3.3 Serving others in love: Our freedom in Christ is not for selfish gain but to serve others in love. This is the essence of Christian freedom. Galatians 5:13
4.1 Standing firm in our freedom: We must stand firm and not allow ourselves to be burdened again by the yoke of slavery. Our freedom in Christ is a precious gift that we must guard diligently. Galatians 5:1
4.2 Resisting legalism and license: We must resist the temptation to fall into legalism (trying to earn God's favor by keeping the law) or license (misusing our freedom to indulge in sin). Both are threats to our freedom in Christ. (Galatians 5 13) Galatians 5:13
4.3 Living in the freedom of forgiveness: We must forgive others as we have been forgiven by God. Holding onto unforgiveness can hinder our experience of freedom in Christ. Colossians 3:13
